 Research Interests

My research interests lie within the broad area of Computational Solid and Structural Mechanics. I currently work on accurate low-order finite elements with mixed and nonvariational formulations, solid-fluid interaction problems with deformable interface and phase changes and constitutive modeling of various types of materials such as granular materials. I am also interested in the solution of large-scale boundary-value problems with parallel computation and iterative solvers and in developing efficient algorithms for nonlinear problems.
